How to document your achievements when overthinking gets in the way

🌟 Editor's Note
Hey Resilient Insiders! How do you find clarity when chaos comes at you from every angle, including within yourself?
The VUCA Reality: We live in volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous times. External complexity is at an all-time high between AI disruptions, policy changes, and global shifts. But I've been reflecting on how our internal challenges (overthinking, procrastination, and perfectionism) can make everything feel even more overwhelming.

The Value Connection: One point on my mind lately is how not recognizing your value leads to second-guessing every decision. When we don't acknowledge our worth, we often:
Downplay our past achievements
Hesitate to take action even when we have most of the information
Overcompensate for feeling unconfident
This shows up in performance reviews, too. Many professionals struggle to articulate their contributions clearly, so I'm intrigued by how AI tools are used to spot patterns in work performance data and potentially reduce bias in reviews. Rather than fearing AI, consider how it might help document your achievements more objectively throughout the year.
The Yes Trap: This devaluing directly connects to saying "yes" to everything, creating self-imposed chaos through poor boundaries. When we don't trust our values, we try to prove ourselves by taking on too much, leading to burnout and diminished performance.
Finding Your Path Forward: The path starts with clarifying your values and identifying your top five for this season. Then, map out your optimal outcome based on the information you have (even if it's only 70-75%). Create Plan A and B, ensuring they align with at least three of your core values. This alignment is crucial for reducing that feeling of suffocation when we're out of sync with ourselves.
AI as Your Performance Review Ally:Use AI tools to continuously document your wins throughout the year, not just at review time

Resilient Insider tip: Rather than seeing AI as a threat, consider it your personal achievement tracker, one that doesn't suffer from impostor syndrome or forget your contributions.
Limited-Time Resource: When valuing yourself properly, clear communication is essential.
